My Bio
Hello.

I work for a Friends of the Earth in the UK. When I'm not doing that, I do some freelance design work under the Whitewash moniker. When I'm not doing that I like to take or make pictures that make me smile. These are they.

Current Residence: London(ish), UK

Favourite Visual Artist
Geoff Senior, Michaelangelo (I'm guessing the first time those two names have appeared together
Tools of the Trade
Adobe, Autodesk, Nikon
...the more they stay the same. Suffice to say, I did not become the diligent deviant that I might have (but probably was never really going to). But I have a two-year membership, some walls in my house that need covering with pictures and a backlog of photos to upload, so I'll keep plugging away.

Level up!

My usual form with these sorts of things is to abandon them after an initial spurt of interest; this is my third DA account after all. But I think this time will be different - the front-and-centre nature of the stats is appealing to the RPG part of my brain that has been nurtured (atrophied?) by stat grinds in many a game. Ah, sweet meaningless numbers. Also, been playing with Sketchup for the first time. It is amazing and an absolute revelation to be able to model so easily, compared with the interfaces of say Max, or Zbrush. I feel like a moron for not giving it a try sooner. Perhaps there will be some 3D work to be displayed here soon...

Took ~1500 photos in just over a week. Was pretty much sick of my camera by the end of it, something that hasn't happened before. :) Just uploaded a couple of the first fruits tonight, but it's really the tip of the iceberg, appropriately enough. Iceland is amazing. I can't decide if it's better in the summer or in the winter. In the winter the light is magical, for want of a better word, but there's only a couple of hours of 'daylight' which makes it hard to do things. In the summer it never gets dark, but some of the places that had seemed amazing in winter seemed much more mundane. Prettiness fatigue may have been a factor though.. Also,
